SURFACE MOUNT SWITCHES
A surface mount (SMT) feature is important as it allows switches to be directly mounted onto the surface of a printed circuit board (PCB) without the need for through-hole leads. This supports automated assembly processes like pick-and-place and reflow soldering, which are faster, more cost-effective and ideal for high-volume manufacturing.
